tip: blow the candle out when about 1 cm is left. that way the stub comes out easily and no wax is left in the holder.
Beeswax candles have many advantages over candles made from paraffin or soy wax. Here are the main ones:
1. A natural, eco-friendly product
Beeswax candles are completely natural. They are made from a material bees produce from flower nectar and resins. Unlike paraffin candles, which are made from petroleum, they don't release petroleum-based fumes, so you can enjoy them with a clearer conscience.
2. Cleaner burning
Beeswax candles burn cleaner and produce less soot than paraffin candles. That means less soot in your home and fewer of the compounds, such as benzene and toluene, that burning paraffin can release.
3. A natural, pleasant scent
Beeswax candles have a soft, pleasant, natural honey scent that brings a sense of cosiness and calm. Unlike scented candles, which often use synthetic fragrance, beeswax gives off its scent naturally, without added chemicals.
4. A gentler alternative
Because beeswax candles are made from a natural material, they are a gentler choice for your home and are less likely to irritate than paraffin candles, which can release unwanted compounds into the air.
5. Longer burn time
Beeswax candles burn longer than soy or paraffin candles because beeswax has a higher melting point. That means more hours of light and enjoyment.

concrete may look like a familiar material, but there are still a few care tips I have to mention.
- our pieces are not dishwasher safe
- concrete pieces are sturdy, but they are definitely not indestructible. treat them as you would ceramics or glass
- if something spills on them or they get dusty, just wipe them with a damp cloth
- for stubborn dirt or grease stains, use washing-up liquid or a cream cleaner with the soft side of a sponge
- for white pieces, wet wipes containing alcohol also work well
all our pieces are sealed against water and dirt, so they are easy to clean if something happens. here's a video on what the sealer does:
still, concrete is a porous material and the sealer wears off with use over time, so you can give it extra protection yourself by rubbing in some linseed oil.
how to remove wax from trays and candle holders?
trays are often used for candles. once the candle has burned down and the wax has cooled, remove what's left with a blunt object, then warm the remaining marks with hot air (a hair dryer works) while soaking up the melting wax with a paper towel.
