the best-selling mi.ni.mali piece, and I completely understand why. a 30 cm concrete tray that instantly brings order to any surface: everything on it suddenly looks arranged rather than scattered.
it's heavy. that's the most important part. it doesn't move when you lift a cup off it, and it doesn't slide when you nudge it with your elbow. the edges are raised just enough to frame what's on it, without turning it into a bowl.
three colours, and each one sings differently: black absorbs light and makes everything on it stand out, white melts into the interior, grey stays true to concrete and shows exactly what the material is.

every tray is a little bit its own: in shade, in texture, in tiny air pores.
Since every piece is handmade, each one is unique. Features such as small air bubbles, slight irregularities or fine marks appear during production because of the nature of the material. Of course, I always aim for the final product to meet your highest standards and mine, but I believe this is exactly what makes each piece special. That's why I don't consider these small details to be defects that would require an exchange.
If a piece reaches your home broken or unusable, I will of course replace it. Just email us at labas@minimali.lt with a photo of the broken piece in its original packaging.

care
concrete may seem like a familiar material, but there are still a few care tips I have to mention.
- the pieces are not dishwasher safe
- concrete pieces are strong, but definitely not indestructible. treat them the way you would treat ceramics or glass
- if something spills or they get dusty, simply wipe with a damp cloth
- clean stubborn dirt or grease stains with washing-up liquid // a cream cleanser and the soft side of a sponge
- wet cleaning wipes containing alcohol also work great on white pieces
all pieces are sealed against water and dirt, so they are as easy to clean as possible if something happens. a video about how the sealant works is here:
still, concrete is a porous material and the sealant wears off over time, so you can give it extra protection yourself by rubbing in linseed oil.
how to remove wax from trays // candle holders?
trays are often used for candles. once the candles have burned down and the wax has cooled, remove what's left with a blunt object, then warm the remaining marks with hot air, e.g. a hair dryer, while soaking up the melting wax with a paper towel.
