In summer, a balcony or terrace becomes another room: it's where you eat, drink your morning coffee and sit in the evenings. But outdoor decor has to follow different rules from indoor decor, because it has to withstand sun, rain and changes in temperature.
why concrete is a natural choice here
Unlike wood or metal, concrete doesn't mind direct sunlight: it won't crack from the heat or fade as quickly as a painted surface. It doesn't mind rain either, as long as water isn't left to collect inside for long. That's why it suits not only planters but also small tables, trays and candle holders outdoors.
On summer evenings outside, low, heavy candle holders work especially well: they don't blow over in the wind as easily as lighter materials, and the light up close brings back the same cosiness you create indoors.
